This month, Foundations in Trauma Informed Weight Lifting is running at UK/Europe-friendly hours for the first time! And me and Jo from Soma Space (who is also a member of We Got to Move, the co-op I’m part of) are joining the training team alongside Mariah and Candace from TIWL.
Oct 22nd & 24th | 2:00pm – 4:00pm BST
Registrations close Oct 15th. I’ve been plugging it loads over on my social media, but somehow forgot to post it here until now.

Trauma Informed Weight Lifting is the best education I’ve ever received.
This course is for coaches, PTs, other movement professionals and mental health professionals who want to learn about the impacts of trauma on bodies, how trauma can impact our experience in gyms, and how resistance training can help post-trauma.
The training combines lecture, discussion, demonstrations, real life case examples and opportunities for applied, (virtual) hands-on learning. The structure of this training will be a combination of synchronous online sessions and asynchronous self-directed activities such as readings, reflections, and assignments to apply your learning.
You can hear thoughts and reflections from past trainees over on TIWL’s Instagram page.
Have a look at the Trauma Informed Weight Lifting website to learn more and reserve your place –registrations close Oct 15th.
